Research
Our group study fundamental properties of not only two-dimensional materials such as graphene, boron nitride, and transition metal dichalcogenides, but also thin film like thermoelectric bismuth selenide (Bi2Se3), piezoelectric lead zirconate titanate (PZT). Through this, Our group’s research focuses on the mesoscopic investigation of their applications in electronics, optoelectronics, sensing, and nano-mechanics.
Therefore, aiming to obtain hetero-junctions of two-dimensional atomic crystals and oxide nano-structures by combining characterization of atomic-scale arrangement, selective functionalization, and control of ionic distribution/migration, we will precisely control band structure and carrier transport characteristics through characterizing and manipulating crystallographic orientation, functional groups, and surface/interface states of two-dimensional atomic crystals and oxide nano-structures.
